Anyone can create a registry. Whether you are expecting a baby yourself or are organising gifts for a friend or family member, you can create your free registry in a few simple steps.

Every registry is actually just a "public" version of your list that you are populating with products. This means in order to create a registry, the first thing you need is a regular list. When creating a list, you can immediately choose to create a registry of this list at the same time, or you can also create the registry out of the list afterwards, by clicking on "Create registry" from within the list, or clicking on the registry icon in "Manage my lists & registries". 

We have made sure to also show within your list when items have been purchased, so you can keep a clear overview of what is still outstanding, and to avoid any double purchasing.

You can add any item from our Anita's List platform to your registry.

1. First, you need to set up your initial list and registry to which you can add items. Add all the necessary details like your event date and delivery address, and you can even leave a message for your friends and family to welcome them to your list.
2. There are many ways to actually add items to your registry. Either search for specific products and add them, or go through our curated list of categories to populate your list one by one, using Anita's advice to help you make those decisions. Or use our pre-generated sample lists to make it even easier for you!
3. Then, you can go into your admin panel and review your populated list, choosing which of the items in the list you'd also like to have on your registry. You might not want to share all products you need publicly (e.g. your hospital underwear!), which is absolutely fine - we've got you! Select your whole list, just a few products or even none of them (if you choose to buy the whole list yourself) to appear on your registry. You can see which items are on your registry when the gift icon next to the product name is filled in.
4. Review your registry and copy the passcode and link as soon as you are happy to share it.
5. If you want to make changes to your registry after it's already been shared, don't worry! Your list is live, so any changes you make will immediately be reflected on your registry, giving you full control of what your friends and family can see.

Please navigate to the registry you would like to change the details for. You can either go to "Manage my lists & registries" and click directly onto the registry icon of the respective list, or when you are already in your list, navigate to the "View Registry" button to view the registry version of your list. At the very top next to the registry title, click on the "Edit" button in order to change any details such as the title itself, the registry message and image or even the address. 

No, for security reasons we generate unique, long passwords so that we can be sure your account is safe, and no details about your registry are public. 

Yes, you can change your registry details and remove or add products, but please be mindful of the fact that if you have already shared your link, some of your friends and family may have seen the old information. If a product has already been purchased, you are not able to remove it from the registry anymore. 

A registry can include items you want or need, ranging from must-haves for your hospital bag, to nice-to-have clothes, toys and anything else you can think of that can make your life as a new parent easier. Gifts purchased from any registry are typically sent directly to the recipient's address, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for both gift buyers and the registry owners. As a registry owner, you can enter your chosen delivery address and gift buyers can enter this address when making their purchase.

Friends, family and guests can purchase items from your registry, making gift-giving easy and convenient. All they need is a device to access your registry online.

Shipping policies depend on where the product is brought from. Anita's List features only our most trusted retailers, such as Natural Baby Shower, Amazon and leading baby brands. They each have their own shipping and returns policies. You can view buying a gift from a registry like any other purchase made on any regular online shop.

Each registry will have a uniquely generated passcode assigned specifically to it as soon as your registry is created. This passcode can then be shared with friends and family who simply need to go to Anita's List to find the registry, using this unique passcode. This also makes sure your registry will only ever be accessed by people you know and trust.

Absolutely. You can have up to 4 active lists in your account, each of which can be converted into a registry to share. You might want to create separate registries for separate occasions, or even for different groups of friends.

Please navigate to the "Find a registry" page, which lets you enter the passcode you will have been sent alongside the invitation. Just enter the passcode and you will have access to the registry. If you do not have an account yet, you will be prompted to create one at first. Once you have created the account, you will get to the page to enter your registry passcode.

Yes, so that we can email you with updates on items that are on hold for you. 

Please go ahead and buy the item. You can find the address to send the item to at the top of the registry. Please use this address as the delivery address so your gift arrives at the desired address.

It is important that you come back to the registry and click on "Mark as purchased" on the correct registry item. This will also allow you to select the quantity you have purchased (should the registry owner have selected more than 1) as well as ask you to enter your name, leave a personal gift message, select your relationship to the registry owner. The registry owner will then automatically be notified about your lovely gift alongside the gift message. Add an answer here.

Please contact the registry owner directly to let them know that the item was not actually purchased. You are not able to revert this action yourself. 

We suggest just letting the registry owner know so they know not to expect the item, and ideally you can reroute the gift or can contact the retailer directly. 

Yes, since you created an account, you can always just log back in at anitasedit.com and in your account, you can go to "Invited to registries". This will show a list of all the registries you have entered the correct passcode for, and you also won't have to enter it again. As long as the registry is still active, you will be able to access it.

Yes, the item has actually moved into the "Purchased gifts" list, so it won’t be bought a second time by accident, which you can find at the very bottom of the registry.
